Experience the power of your breath and step into a peaceful stillness. We'll explore a handful of breathing exercises for relaxation and meditation from the yogic tradition called Pranayama. This practice is for EVERYONE, no experience needed.
You will be seated and lying down in the salt room, so please bring a blanket, a yoga mat, a meditation cushion, or whatever you need to be able to sit and lie down comfortably. Chairs will be provided for anyone who cannot come to the floor comfortably.

Rebecca is co-owner of The Awareness Center in Newark, DE. She has a foundation in Iyengar yoga, and completed her Yoga Teacher Training while in residence at the beloved Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Rebecca teaches a wide variety of asana classes, including Restorative Yoga, Kripalu Yoga, and Ashtanga-based Vinyasa-- all of which have an emphasis on mindfulness, pranayama (breath) and physical alignment. A long time student of the breath, she also teaches Pranayama classes, which are most heavily influenced by the Iyengar and Kripalu traditions and a modern understanding of the physiology of the breath.
