Cupping can treat multiple diagnoses and ailments including but not limited to: headaches, sinuses, congestion, asthma, TMJ, muscle strains, arthritis, musculoskeletal problems, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, abdominal pain, intestinal disorders, and pelvic pain.

Hi! My name is Bianca-Alexis Ferrante. I graduated with my Doctorate in Physical
Therapy from the University of Hartford in 2013. Since then, I have worked in multiple
settings treating people with traditional physical therapy. During the last 5 years I started
noticing how the entire body is connected and how pain can stem from another area,
rather than the place experiencing the pain. For example, a headache may not stem
from the head, and hip pain may not solely be a hip problem. I started becoming
interested in “alternative therapies” such as myofascial release, women’s health,
nutrition, and most recently cupping. I have noticed that patients get long term relief with
these therapies and often times feel better in other “unaffected” areas as well. I now
incorporate these modalities in the traditional physical therapy settings.

I am honored to be offering Cupping Therapy at the Salt Cove. Cupping has become
more popular the last few years, especially after seeing that Michael Phelps and other
olympic athletes use this modality. However, cupping has been used to treat various
disorders by multiple cultures for thousands of years. This therapy uses suction and
negative pressure to lift and release connective tissue, adhesions, lactic acid and
cellular waste, and promotes blood flow to stagnant soft and connective tissues. It also
helps to promote circulation and lymphatic drainage.

Delaware is a direct access state, where an initial referral is not needed for physical
therapy, but a script from the doctor is required after the first 30 days. Insurance is not
being accepted, but receipts can be provided upon request if you are interested in
submitting to your insurance company.

The first session includes a quick evaluation and a short treatment.

The follow-up visits include treatment the entire session.

All treatment sessions are 50 min for $70.

Payment is required at the time of booking your appointment and there is a $35 fee for cancellations with less than 24 hour notice.

I look forward to working with you and promoting full body wellness!
